Jeanie Worsley v. The Staples Group, Inc., et al., 17-2254-CM
What do these employees allege?
On May 01, 2017, Osman & Smay LLC filed a lawsuit on behalf of Account Services Managers (“ASMs”) and other similarly titled employees of Staples Contract & Commercial, Inc. (“Staples”). The Complaint alleges that Staples violated the Fair Labor Standards Act by classifying ASMs, and other similar employees, as exempt and denying ASMs overtime compensation for all hours worked over forty in a workweek. Plaintiffs seek to recover unpaid wages, liquidated damages, attorney fees, and all expenses incurred in this action.
What employees are part of the alleged class?
You are eligible to join this lawsuit if you are or were an Account Services Managers or had similar job titles, duties, and compensation structures at any time between September 26, 2015 through the Present. If you were an ASM who worked more than 40 hours in a workweek during this time period, you are eligible to join this collective action.
How do I join?
If you wish to join this lawsuit, you must sign and return a completed Consent to Join by no later than January 17, 2019.

What is the status of this case?
The Court has conditionally certified a collective action of all Account Services Managers and/or people holding similar job titles, duties and compensation structures at any time between September 26, 2015 through the Present.
Notice was mailed to all potential class members on October 17, 2018 and such individuals have until January 17, 2019 to submit a Consent to Join if they wish to join this collective action.
