Freightquote Overtime Lawsuit

Fair Labor Standards Act

Pursuant to a recent court order, more than 1,400 current and former Freightquote employees were notified of their right to join a lawsuit for unpaid overtime and 401(k) benefits. All Account Representatives, Customer Activation Specialists, and Truckload Coverage Representatives (collectively “Covered Employees”) who have worked at any time between March 18, 2012 and the Present are eligible to join this lawsuit. The deadline to join is set for October 27, 2015 and failure to join by that date could result in these employees losing their claims entirely.

The lawsuit alleges that Freightquote illegally misclassified the Covered Employees as exempt from the overtime requirements, required them to work overtime hours, and refused to pay them overtime premiums. The plaintiffs also assert that Freightquote would have paid them additional 401(k) contributions if Freightquote had properly paid them overtime compensation. Freightquote denies these allegations and at this time, the court has not yet decided who is right.

If you were an Account Representative, Customer Activation Specialist, Truckload Coverage Representative, or similar position and were not paid overtime pay for hours worked in excess of forty hours in a workweek, your rights may have been violated and you may be able to join this lawsuit. If you would like to participate you will have to fill out a Consent to Join and mail it to our office by October 27, 2015. If you have questions about the lawsuit or would like any other assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us at 913-667-9243.
